Meet Matthew Ellwood! Born in Columbus, Ohio, Matthew's family soon packed up and moved to Greensboro, NC, where he grew up with four lively siblings. As a homeschooled kid, he spent most of his days creating his own fun, and music was always part of the mix. From the backseat of his dad's Pontiac on the way to basketball practice, Matthew soaked in the sounds of 90s and 2000s country legends like Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Tracy Lawrence, and Keith Whitley. Fast forward 10-15 years, and Matthew was playing college basketball at Pfeiffer University. Unfortunately, after two years, a knee surgery ended his basketball dreams but kickstarted his passion for songwriting and music. In 2014, he picked up a guitar and penned his first song about Dale Jr. right in the middle of a Sport Management class! In 2018, Matthew made the big move to Nashville, where he showcased his talents at places like Belcourt Taps and Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Broadway. By 2020, he decided to return to Charlotte to be closer to family. For the past four years, Matthew has been playing shows all around the area. Want to catch him live or book him for […]

From the author: As a father of two daughters I find it especially important to teach them the value of who they are as they grow up. This book is designed to help empower children to grow up fearless and develop a curiosity for the world around them. More and more our children are exposed to screen time. I hope this book, Aspen and Boomer Discover Fall, will allow you time with your kids to start thinking beyond the screen and go discover what lies just on the other side of your door in nature.
