Kim Hefner is a stained glass artist based in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she has been creating luminous, one-of-a-kind works since 2008. Specializing in custom pet portraits, Kim captures the spirit and personality of beloved companions, translating their essence into colorful, lasting glass art. Designing her own original pet patterns, Kim believes that anything that can be drawn can be created in stained glass.
She works skillfully across a range of techniques — including the Tiffany-inspired copper foil method, traditional leaded windows, and warm glass kiln work — to bring her intricate visions to life with color, texture, and light. Inspired by nature and the deep bond between people and their pets, Kim’s art celebrates memory, beauty, and connection. Each piece she creates is a personal, handcrafted tribute, blending timeless craftsmanship with heartfelt meaning.
